스타필드 코엑스몰 별마당 도서관의 대표 문화예술 프로그램 ‘열린 아트 공모전’이 8회를 맞아 한층 더 정교한 심사 체계를 도입, 도심 속 ‘열린 문화 공간’으로서의 가치와 예술적 깊이를 더욱 강화한다.
‘열린 아트 공모전’은 역량 있는 창작자들이 아이디어를 실현하고 관람객과 소통할 수 있도록 지원하는 프로그램이다. 2019년 시작한 이래 총 900여 명의 작가들이 참여했으며, 매년 대상작은 누구나 감상할 수 있도록 별마당 도서관에 전시해 대중과 문화예술을 연결하는 열린 문화예술 플랫폼이자 공공미술의 장으로 자리매김해 왔다.
나아가 올해부터는 심사 체계를 고도화해 공간성과 예술성이 어우러진 작품을 보다 정교한 기준으로 선별한다. 공모전의 신뢰성과 전문성을 강화하고, 일상에서 문화 예술을 향유할 수 있는 별마당 도서관만의 공간 가치를 더욱 높인다는 목표다.
특히, 스타필드 내부 위원의 심사를 새롭게 도입해 출품작의 완성도와 예술성을 공간 기획자의 시각으로 검토한다. 작품이 안정적으로 구현될 수 있는지를 중점으로 구조적 완성도 및 예산 적정성 등을 평가하는 동시에 공간에서의 울림, 관람 경험의 흐름 등 감각적 요소까지 섬세하게 살핀다.
외부 심사는 예년과 동일하게 예술계 전문가와 아티스트가 참여해 스토리·창의성·공감성을 중심으로 작품의 예술적 가치를 블라인드로 평가한다.
올해 공모전은 ‘자유 주제’ 또는 ‘책 이야기에서 얻은 영감’ 중 하나를 선택해 출품할 수 있다. 문학 작품 속 이야기와 인물, 상징, 문장 등에서 출발한 상상력을 시각예술로 재해석하거나, 개인의 독서 경험과 감정을 조형 언어로 풀어낸 다양한 작품을 만나볼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
공모 분야는 미디어아트를 포함한 설치·조형 예술이다. 접수 기간은 내년 1월 18일(일)까지로, 작품 개념·기획 의도·구성안을 담은 작품 계획안과 시각 자료, 포트폴리오 등을 제출해야 한다.
작품 설치는 별마당도서관의 상징적 공간인 중앙 공간을 필수로 활용해야 하며, 계단·천장 등 선택 공간은 작품 콘셉트에 따라 자유롭게 확장해 구성할 수 있다.
대상에게는 상금 1천만 원과 함께 출품작을 실물로 제작해 별마당 도서관 중앙에 전시할 수 있도록 지원한다. 우수상 2점에는 각 300만 원, 입선 5점에는 신세계상품권 100만 원을 수여한다. 당선작은 2026년 2월 중 발표되며, 대상 수상작은 2026년 5월 말부터 스타필드 코엑스몰 별마당 도서관에서 만날 수 있다.

This "Policy on the Handling of Personal Information" concerns the protection measures taken by the Company to protect the personal information of the customers using Starfield, Starfield City, and The Shops at Centerfield operated by the subsidiaries ("Company") of Shinsegae Property including Shinsegae Property Inc. or Starfield Hanam Inc. The Company complies with the relevant laws including PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION ACT and the ACT ON THE PROMOTION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK UTILIZATION AND INFORMATION PROTECTION, ETC. and has established and released the Policy on the Handling of Personal Information on its website accessible by its customers. Since the Policy on the Handling of Personal Information may be amended due to changes in governmental law and policy or in the corporate policy, it is recommended for its customers to frequently visit the Notice on the website.

The Company does not collect the personal information of a child under the age of fourteen(14) who shall obtain the consent of his / her legal representative.
The Company does not transfer commercial type information without the customer's prior consent.

Should there be information to be added, deleted and edited according to the government policies or the policies of the Company, the notification on such changes will be provided via the website at least seven(7) days before the revision.
This Policy on the Handling of Personal Information takes effect as of November 25, 2021, and the previous version will be replaced with the current version.
