ESG 선도기업 신세계프라퍼티가 2024년 한 해 동안의 지속가능한 개발 여정을 집약한 ‘2024 지속가능경영보고서’를 발간했다.
신세계프라퍼티는 ‘공간에 가치를 더하다’는 철학 아래 장소와 에너지, 사람을 중심으로 중장기적 관점에서 ESG 관련 체계와 실행 결과를 하나의 흐름으로 정리해 이번 보고서를 완성했다. 이는 종합 부동산 개발사로서 지속가능경영을 향한 철학과 실천을 이해관계자에게 투명하게 공유하고 기업의 미래 가치를 명확히 전달하는 데 목적이 있다.
앞서 신세계프라퍼티는 2021년 ESG추진팀 조직 신설을 시작으로, 2022년 친환경 건축 연구조직인 ‘에코랩’을 발족했다. 이어 2023년에는 부동산 개발 과정에서 사람과 환경에 미치는 부정적 영향을 최소화하기 위한 ‘지속가능한 개발 가이드북’을 발간하며 ESG 내재화를 위한 조직 기반과 체계를 갖춰왔다.
이러한 기반 위에 2024년은 ESG 실천의 원년이자 가시적 성과의 해였다. 스타필드 하남과 고양에 대해 글로벌 ESG 평가기구인 GRESB로부터 국내 리테일 부문 최초로 최고 등급인 ‘5스타’를 획득하며 진정성과 성과를 객관적으로 입증 받았다.
이번 지속가능경영보고서에는 그간의 제도와 조직적 준비를 넘어 실제 실행 과정과 성과가 구체적으로 담겼다.
환경 분야의 핵심 의제는 기후변화 대응이다. 11개 부서가 참여하는 ESG실무협의체가 환경 목표를 통합 관리하고, 이행 과제를 도출하여 전사적으로 온실가스 감축 및 에너지 효율화 전략을 실행하고 있다.
실제 스타필드 하남·고양·안성의 2024년 온실가스 배출량은 2022년 대비 약 8% 감소하는 실질적 성과를 냈다. 에너지 절감과 신재생에너지 활용 확대, 노후 설비 교체 등 전방위 개선 작업도 함께 병행하고 있다.
사회 분야에서는 고객과 임직원, 지역사회와의 연결성을 중심으로 다양한 활동을 펼쳐왔다.
먼저, 안전을 모든 경영 활동의 출발점으로 보고, ISO45001(산업안전보건경영시스템), 웰 보건안전 평가 인증(Well Health & Safety), ISO22301(사업연속성경영시스템) 등 국제 인증을 기반으로 한 체계적인 안전보건 관리를 이어오고 있다.
진정성 있는 동반성장 파트너로서 지역경제 활성화 및 미래세대 성장 지원도 활발히 진행하고 있다.
특히, ‘전통 시장 활성화 프로젝트’는 2016년 스타필드 하남 오픈 이후 매년 확대되고 있는 대표적인 상생 프로그램이다. 오랜 시간 상인들과 소통하고 지역 특성을 면밀히 분석해 브랜딩·메뉴 개발·노후화 시설 개선·마케팅 역량 강화 등 실질적으로 필요한 활동을 맞춤 지원해 오고 있다. 2024년에는 고양시 삼송상점가, 부천시 한신시장·역곡남부시장, 수원시 화서역먹거리촌·천천먹거리촌에 대한 프로젝트를 진행했다.
또한 임직원 봉사단 ‘별꿈 서포터즈’를 중심으로 지역 아동과 시니어를 위한 ‘스타필드 플레이’, ‘희망배달 캠페인’, ‘공간개선 프로젝트’를 전개해 지난 4년간 누적인원 대략 3,000명을 지원했으며, 2024년에는 경기도와 ESG 활성화 업무협약을 체결해 공공 협력의 폭도 넓히고 있다.
지배구조 분야에서는 ‘신세계 크레도(CREDO) 실천원칙’을 바탕으로, 정기적인 준법·윤리 교육을 통해 전사 차원의 윤리문화 정착을 위한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 윤리경영 관련 사항을 체계적으로 모니터링하고, 기업의 투명성과 신뢰를 높이기 위한 기준도 함께 고도화 중이다.

This "Policy on the Handling of Personal Information" concerns the protection measures taken by the Company to protect the personal information of the customers using Starfield, Starfield City, and The Shops at Centerfield operated by the subsidiaries ("Company") of Shinsegae Property including Shinsegae Property Inc. or Starfield Hanam Inc. The company values its customer's personal information most of all and always puts all-out efforts to protect it safely.
The Company complies with the relevant laws including PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION ACT and the ACT ON THE PROMOTION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK UTILIZATION AND INFORMATION PROTECTION, ETC. and has established and released the Policy on the Handling of Personal Information on its website accessible by its customers. Since the Policy on the Handling of Personal Information may be amended due to changes in governmental law and policy or in the corporate policy, it is recommended for its customers to frequently visit the Notice on the website.

Customers may ask for the settlement of a dispute or consultation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, Personal Information Infringement Report Center of the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), etc. on the remedy for the infringed rights. The Company does not collect the personal information of a child under the age of fourteen(14) who shall obtain the consent of his / her legal representative.
The Company does not transfer commercial type information without the customer's prior consent.
When sending commercial type information via email and others for the purpose of online marketing including the product guide information, the Company obtains prior consent from the customers on the sending of such information and takes the measures as below for each means, allowing the customers to recognize it easily.
Pursuant to the relevant laws, the criteria of the Company on the use or provision of the additional personal information without a customer's consent is as follows:
Should there be information to be added, deleted and edited according to the government policies or the policies of the Company, the notification on such changes will be provided via the website at least seven(7) days before the revision.
This Policy on the Handling of Personal Information takes effect as of November 25, 2021, and the previous version will be replaced with the current version.
