세대와 영역을 넘는 소통과 공감의 장으로 역할해 온 ‘열린 문화 공간’ 스타필드 코엑스몰 별마당 도서관이 이번에는 시각장애인 미술치료사들의 모임 ‘더(The)틈’과 함께 ‘빛나는 동행展’을 10월 13일(목)부터 11월 2일(수)까지 진행한다.
‘더(The)틈’은 시각 대신 촉각, 후각 등을 통한 미술치료를 통해 시각장애인들이 내면을 표현하고 세상과 소통할 수 있도록 돕는 봉사단체로, 2013년부터 비장애 중심의 사회가 보듬지 못한 세상의 빈틈을 메우기 위해 10여년간 변함없이 활동해 오고 있다.
신세계프라퍼티는 미술치료로 시각장애인과 세상을 이어주는 ‘더(The)틈’을 응원하는 한편, 그 사이에서 피어나는 희망의 이야기를 나누고 공감하고자 ‘빛나는 동행展’을 기획했다.
시각장애인들이 자신의 세상을 표현하는 방식과 그 세상을 읽어주는 미술치료사들의 이야기로, 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것을 넘어 누구에게나 삶은 그 자체로 같은 것이라는 메시지와 함께 미술이 주는 치유와 소통의 세계를 경험하게 될 것으로 기대된다.
‘빛나는 동행展’은 더(The)틈 프로젝트 전시와 시각장애인 작품 전시, 플라워 터널, 점자 도서전, 점자 체험 등으로 구성됐다. 시각장애인 최초로 서울대 음대를 졸업하고 소외된 사람들 그리고 장애예술인에게 위로와 희망의 메시지를 전하고 있는 연주자 김상헌 피아니스트의 연주곡도 전시 기간 동안 함께해 전시의 분위기와 취지를 더할 예정이다.
먼저 ‘더(The)틈, 세상의 틈을 비추는 사람들’ 섹션에서는 지난 10년간 미술치료를 통해 장애와 비장애의 틈을 채우기 위해 변함없이 걸어온 더(The)틈의 가슴 뜨거운 이야기를 엿볼 수 있다. 길은영 교수(숙명여대, 향나무미술심리연구소 소장)를 비롯한 미술치료사들이 시각 대신 후각, 청각, 촉각을 활용해 시각장애인들과 교감하고 치유해 온 과정을 고스란히 담았다.
‘빛나는 동행展으로의 초대’ 섹션에서는 소망복지원 시각장애인들이 미술치료사들과 함께 손끝으로 빚어낸 세상을 감상할 수 있다. 치료사와 서로의 손을 마사지하며 느낀 부드럽고 따뜻한 온기를 표현한 ‘엄마 손’, 손끝으로 치료사의 얼굴과 자기의 얼굴을 어루만지며 탐색한 생김새를 입체적으로 담은 ‘우리들의 얼굴’ 등 총 70여점을 준비했다.
전시 공간은 자연의 아름다움을 현대미술로 표현하는 보테니컬 아트 컴퍼니 ‘팀보타’와 함께 국화가 만개한 ‘빛나는 동행길’로 연출했다. 분홍빛과 보랏빛 플라워 터널을 지나며 은은한 가을꽃 향기와 함께 작품을 감상할 수 있다.
대한민국 최초의 점자 도서관인 ‘한국점자도서관’의 점자 도서 50여 권을 경험할 수 있는 ‘점자 도서전’도 준비했다. 손끝의 촉각으로 그림을 느낄 수 있는 촉각 도서와 지도, 달력 등 시각장애인들을 위한 생활정보를 담은 생활자료 등을 큐레이션 했다.
이와 함께 비즈 스티커로 동행·사랑·위로·희망 4가지 키워드를 점자 단어로 만들어 보는 체험도 진행하며, QR코드에 접속해 더(The)틈과 시각장애인들에게 따뜻한 메시지도 보낼 수 있다.
신세계프라퍼티 이창승 스타필드 운영담당은 “시각장애인의 미술치료는 아직 많은 사람에게 생소할 수 있다”며 “이번 전시를 통해 누구에게나 삶은 그 자체로 같다는 큰 의미 아래 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것의 영역을 넘어 소통하고 공감하는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
This “Policy on the Handling of Personal Information” concerns the protection measures taken by the Company to protect the personal information of the customers using Starfield, Starfield City, and The Shops at Centerfield operated by the subsidiaries (“Company”) of Shinsegae Property including Shinsegae Property Inc. or Starfield Hanam Inc. Since the Policy on the Handling of Personal Information may be amended due to changes in governmental law and policy or in the corporate policy, it is recommended for its customers to frequently visit the Notice on the website.

Customers may ask for the settlement of a dispute or consultation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, Personal Information Infringement Report Center of the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), etc. on the remedy for the infringed rights. The Company does not collect the personal information of a child under the age of fourteen(14) who shall obtain the consent of his / her legal representative.
The Company does not transfer commercial type information without the customer's prior consent.
When sending commercial type information via email and others for the purpose of online marketing including the product guide information, the Company obtains prior consent from the customers on the sending of such information and takes the measures as below for each means, allowing the customers to recognize it easily.
Pursuant to the relevant laws, the criteria of the Company on the use or provision of the additional personal information without a customer’s consent is as follows:
Should there be information to be added, deleted and edited according to the government policies or the policies of the Company, the notification on such changes will be provided via the website at least seven(7) days before the revision.
This Policy on the Handling of Personal Information takes effect as of November 25, 2021, and the previous version will be replaced with the current version.
